The history
The Casa story started in 2008, when founder Lee Thornley moved to Spain to learn Spanish. He fell in love with Vejer de la Frontera and bought a field with a small outbuilding on it with the intention of building a hotel. The project was a true labour of love, and he worked to create a peaceful retreat where guests can embrace a slower pace of life and feel good inside and out.
The main house is surrounded by lavender-scented gardens, with lush archways and winding pathways. Rooms are all connected by the courtyard and offer beautiful views onto the open countryside, while interiors use natural materials and textures to create a relaxed feel. Restored and repurposed furniture steeped in history has been used throughout, bringing understated character and warmth to the hotel.
