Casa la Siesta Announces First Yoga Retreat 19-24 April 2020 ‘Retreat to the Casa’
We are thrilled to be hosting our first residential yoga retreat this spring where guests are invited to enjoy five days of yoga practice, eating delicious healthy food, swimming, walking and relaxing under the Andalusian sun.
We are collaborating with experienced yogi and wellbeing expert Sarah Jane Griffiths (SJ) to offer guests staying with us during this time yoga classes twice daily, interspersed with guided walks exploring the stunning area as well as the opportunity to enjoy massages and other activities such as surfing, riding or cycling.
SJ is a certified Life-Coach & Integrative Nutrition Health-Coach who has also studied Strala yoga under Tara Stiles, 'the world's coolest yogi' in New York.
Strala is a fusion of yoga, tai chi and shiatsu where you will be guided through flowing routines and breath-body connection. Strala is for everyone and the only rule is move where it feels good to move. Forget the pose, learn to soften your body and enjoy the relaxing flow of the routines taking this feeling with you long after the class is over.

Your typical day at the retreat
Enjoy a relaxing start to your day with a hot drink and light snack before joining SJ for a 75-minute morning yoga session.
This will be followed by a healthy brunch and free time where you will have the choice of booking extra activities including cycling around the rolling hills, surfing at the coast or revitalising with an in-room massage. Or, simply go for a dip in our heated pool and relax with a good book in the tranquil garden before joining the evening relaxing yoga session so you sleep soundly.
In addition, SJ will lead two group guided walks through the rolling Cadiz countryside and out to the golden sands of the unspoilt coast of the Costa de la luz during the retreat.SJ will also be offering a complimentary group coaching session at the beginning of the week for all guests, which is the perfect way to ease into a week of wellbeing and set goals for the days ahead.Book Now
Casa la Siesta will supply yoga mats, blocks and blankets for everyone. Yoga will take place in the Salon or in the garden depending on the weather. The group will be small – between 10 – 15 maximum in number.
The five-night retreat will run Sunday 19 – Friday 24 April 2020. Retreat guest should plan to arrive Sunday afternoon and depart after the morning session on Friday. Accommodation options are flexible with double and twin accommodation as well as two villas which could suite friends travelling together. All experience levels can be catered for but some previous yoga practice would be a benefit.
As an introduction offer we will be including the yoga and group walks at no extra cost for this retreat – you will essentially be just paying our regular room rates.
